There's something about being in an exotic destination that makes waking up early in the morning quite an experience. When I was in the Philippines, at an island resort just southwest of Luzon, I would always hear the "resident" bird coo just when the sun rises. Then I get up, walk up to the balcony and savor the breeze wafting along the fresh coconut trees and the beach. I just love that feeling. There are just so many places to explore in the world, away from the city buzz, where watching the sun rise could be one the most enjoyable experiences in your trip. Here are some of them:
