Summer is a phenomenal time to go to Porto as far as the weather. July and August are the hottest months of the year in the area, but they are not uncomfortably warm. The normal high temperature during these months is just roughly 85 degrees F. These two months are also the least rainiest, so it is impossible that a visit during this the truth will surface eventually defaced by rain. The moistness is low and the breezes by and large make the air feel cool, with nights during this time being particularly decent.
The rainy season in Porto starts in around mid-September and every month it gets rainier and rainier, finally peaking in December when the normal month to month rainfall is roughly eighteen inches. The rain proceeds fairly reliably, with a drop in March but then an ascent again in April and May. Guests who despise rain won't have any desire to travel to the area during the winter months. On the other hand, it is not particularly chilly, with the lowest lows averaging just shy of fifty degrees, so guests who wouldn't fret the rain may appreciate this season. Toward the end of the rainy season, in around late February, the trees all over Porto are blossoming which is a magnificent sight to see.
