Fall and winter are the cheapest time of the year to travel to Myrtle Beach. You may miss out on events like the Sun Fun Festival but you will still be able to enjoy chili cook-offs, music and art festivals, and of course Oktoberfest. If you don't mind slightly cooler temperatures, winter will offer you the best rates possible, and still be seeing fun times like the South Carolina Bluegrass Festival and Myrtle Beach marathon.
